Modern Lives. Sacred Traditions.

Meet our sisters

Welcome to the Show me a sign video series

host an event!

Sister Laura talks about navigating the roles of daughter and Catholic sister. “Community supports me to go visit my parents … FSPA supports the familial relationship,” she says.

About her relationships with family around the globe, Sister Jacinta says, “There’s an ocean between my family and me so it’s important I don’t lose touch. I know week by week what is happening … I am up to date. I don’t feel disconnected from my family at all.”

"How will religious life affect my relationships?" Sister Dawn takes us through her journey to, and through, religious life.

Sister Lucy and her sibling Eileen talk about family relationships during discernment and profession of vows. Eileen notes: “I’ve seen her change and grow … since she’s been a sister. It’s nice to see her settle in and be more at peace with herself. It’s been a beautiful process to see.”

Meet Sister Sarah and her parents, Mary Kay and Thomas. Hear the family discuss the common discerner question, "What if my family isn't Catholic?" Sister Sarah introduces you to her own eclectic family -- from Methodist to Quaker and Catholic to Hindu (mix in a little Buddhism, too).
