Director of Mission Advancement (see full job description)

We are seeking a Director of Mission Advancement to join our team at St. Rose Convent.  

In this full-time position (32 hours per week), you will cultivate donor relationships and plan, coordinate and implement funding strategies.  This is satisfying and challenging work that allows you to be a partner in ministry. 

We’re not looking for just anyone—you must be passionate about helping others grow, enjoy meeting people and coordinating fundraising activities, be mission driven and have at least 4 years of related experience.

Communications Department Intern 

We are looking for an intern to join our communications team at St. Rose Convent. This paid internship is 10-12 hours per week and starts in June. Schedule is flexible. As our intern, you will perform a variety of communications duties including writing feature stories for our print and online publications, event coordination and digital media support. You will manage our news media coverage and our resource library.

We're looking for a student who is completing coursework in mass communications, journalism, public relations, marketing, English or related field.

Villa St. Joseph 

Villa St. Joseph is a skilled-care retirement home owned by Franciscan Sisters of Perpetual Adoration. The Villa is located on St. Joseph Ridge, 11 miles east of La Crosse, Wisconsin, on Highway 33. the land that surrounds the Villa was initially purchased as a farm to produce food for St. Rose Convent and the then St. Francis Hospital. The present day structure is comprised of three wings and is home to approximately 70 sisters.

Registered Nurse:  

Full-time 1st, 2nd shifts
Part-time 2nd shift

PHILOSOPHY:

In executing all duties and responsibilities of the job description, the employee shall be expected to advocate and foster the physical, psychological, emotional, spiritual and social well-being of all individuals in accordance with the healing ministry of the Franciscan Sisters of Perpetual Adoration and Villa St. Joseph Retirement Home.

JOB SUMMARY:

The nursing process of assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating is the basis for all care delivered by the registered nurse. The registered nurse is accountable for the delivery of direct care and for supervising the nursing care provided by professional and ancillary nursing personnel.  The registered nurse assesses and plans in collaboration with the patient/support person and the interdisciplinary health care team to meet the educational and discharge needs. The registered nurse provides care for the elderly residents of the Villa St. Joseph.

EMPLOYMENT STANDARDS:

  • Must have current registration to practice professional nursing in Wisconsin.
  • Must have at least 1 year of related work experience and possess basic leadership skills. May negotiate if previously employed as a licensed practical nurse in a geriatric setting.
  • Must be able to read, write and speak English.
  • Must be able to safely perform the essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodations.

Certified Nursing Assistant or Nursing Assistant:   

Day shift is 6:30am-2:30pm
PM shift is 2:30-10:30pm
Night shift is 10:30pm-6:30am

Full-time 2nd, 3rd shift
Part-time 1st, 2nd shift

A member of the health care team who, under the direct supervision of the Registered Professional Nurse and/or Licensed Practical Nurse assists residents with daily cares in order to maintain the highest degree of dignity, safety and independence.

EMPLOYMENT STANDARDS:

  • Nursing experience desired.  On the job training can be provided.
  • Must be able to safely perform the essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodations.
  • Must be able to read, write and speak English.

Outreach Coordinator/Retreat and Spiritual Director

As the FT Coordinator, you will design, lead, and evaluate year-round programs and retreats, both on-site and off. Your programs and retreats will include people from a multitude of faith traditions, income levels, nationalities and cultures. As a Spiritual Director you will help people find a deeper relationship with God through spiritual direction.
