Ministry Grant presentations

The Franciscan Sisters of Perpetual Adoration Ministry Grant Committee is providing a series of learning opportunities — presentations given by sister and affiliate ministry grant sponsors to introduce the investments they support and those who are putting them to work within their organizations.

These presentations are not just information sharing; they are occasions created for making connections and deepening relationships in the global communities served.

“As we’ve gotten to know each other better, it seemed very fitting that we help sponsor some of the work of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater La Crosse, as they are fulfilling our mission of really disrupting our current systems so that all can live in a much healthier way,” shared Franciscan Sister of Perpetual Adoration Sue Ernster in a recent conversation -- our most recent ministry grant session -- with the organization’s CEO, Jake Erickson, in our latest ministry grant session.

The mission of the Boys & Girls Clubs is to “inspire and empower all young people to reach their full potential as productive, responsible and caring citizens.” Jake spoke about the relationship with FSPA and the congregation’s impact on their growing programming which he described as “Almost endless: mental health club, academic programming, self-sufficiency and graduation  programs. In addition the support helps to provide “basic needs for kids: meals, birthday presents, something to lift them up around the holidays.

“FSPA is helping us to accomplish all our goals. We are so thankful.”

We invite you to experience the discussion in this video.
