Sister Mary Louise Mutrch, 88 years old and in the sixth-eighth year of her religious profession, died on Dec. 19, 2025, at St. Rose Convent in La Crosse, Wisconsin. A native of La Crosse, Sister Mary Louise held several degrees in music education and ministered as a teacher in elementary schools in Washington, Iowa and Wisconsin. She also served her FSPA community for seven years as secretary and treasurer of FSPA’s Northern Province in Woodruff, Wisconsin, and later as a part-time associate archivist. Sister Mary Louise retired to St. Rose in 2010. Community members, family and friends will remember Sister Mary Louise for her love of music and dedication to FSPA.
