Thirty-seventh group of Prayer Partners commissioned in spring ceremony

Sunday, April 3, was commissioning day for the newest FSPA eucharistic prayer partners. 

Diane Carrk has a holistic healing practice at Integrative Therapies of La Crosse and is working on her master’s degree in Chinese medicine. She prays with us at 7 a.m. each Saturday.

Joan Deyo sings in the choir at Mary, Mother of the Church in La Crosse and also volunteers at Hillview Health Care Center. She joins us for adoration on Tuesdays at 10 a.m.

William Eddy, a native of Connecticut, is employed part time by the La Crosse parks department. He will join us in prayer at 9 a.m. on Wednesdays.

Barbara Helgeson (pictured at right), who was unable to attend the commissioning service, is a member of St. Patrick’s Parish in Onalaska. She is a part-time physical therapist at Mayo Clinic Health System-Franciscan Healthcare. Her hour of prayer is Monday from 7 to 8 p.m.

Patricia Nimocks is a song leader and lector at Mary, Mother of the Church in La Crosse. A branch manager at U.S. Bank, Patricia also volunteers with various community organizations. She prays with us Tuesdays at 5 p.m.

Dee Paqué served as a social worker at Gundersen Health System for many years. Her volunteer work includes social justice efforts in La Crosse and work on housing in St. Lucia and Africa. She prays with us on the third Wednesday of the month at 10 a.m.

Ana Poeschel, a native of Panama, lives in Brownsville, Minnesota. She is married and has four children. Ana joins us in adoration on Wednesdays at 11 a.m.

Alfrieda Roth worked as a nurse at St. Francis Medical Center, now Mayo Clinic Health System-Franciscan Healthcare, for many years. She volunteers as a eucharistic minister for shut-ins and reads for the Head Start program. Alfrieda prays with us at 3 p.m. on Mondays.

Jeanette Sedbrook is also a member of Mary, Mother of the Church. She volunteers at Gifted Hands, Gundersen Health System and the Shrine of Our Lady of Guadalupe. Jeanette prays with us at 10 a.m. on Thursdays.

Kristy Walz, a member of Holmen Lutheran Church, is a spiritual director. She is on the Franciscan Spirituality Center Board and volunteers with the FSPA Homelessness Initiative. Kristy prays with us each month on a varied schedule.

Mary Wieser is a member of Crucifixion Parish in La Crescent. She volunteers as a eucharistic minister at her church and at Mayo Clinic Health System-Franciscan Healthcare. She will pray with us on Fridays at 10 a.m.
