New Honey Bees on FSPA Land

New Honey Bees on FSPA Land

Earlier this spring, a small group of FSPA affiliates and partners in mission reintroduced bees to the FSPA land on St. Joseph's Ridge. Affiliates Meg and Priamo Paulino, along with Director of Affiliation Michael Krueger and his son, Isaac, prepared three hives for the bees. The hives are a way to continue aiding in the biodiversity of our ecosystems, which suffered a nearly sixty percent loss in beehives going into 2025. Meg and Michael will continue caring for the hives as we head into summer, and hopefully, there will be some honey to share with the sisters later this year!
