Maple Sap Collecting and Boil Down on St. Joseph Ridge

Maple Sap Collecting and Boil Down on St. Joseph Ridge

Over the past couple of weeks, the FSPA Integral Ecology team and members of the La Crosse Youth & Learning Center have been busy collecting sap from the maple trees on FSPA land on St. Joseph Ridge and boiling it down to make maple syrup. Of the roughly 90 gallons of sap collected so far, about 2 gallons of maple syrup were produced. Additional collecting and boiling will take place in the coming weeks.
