Franciscan Sister of Perpetual Adoration Jean Michael Treba died Saturday, Dec. 6, 2025, at the age of 83 and in her fifty-ninth year of religious profession, at St. Rose Convent in La Crosse, Wisconsin. Sister Jean Michael was the youngest of 15 children in her family. Her ministries included education, psychology and senior living community administration and her service spanned from various places like Wisconsin, Mississippi and Guam. She also served FSPA as Director of Temporary Professed Sisters and Mission Councilor. Sister Jean Michael is remembered as steadfast and heart-felt; open and attentive; a learner of white privilege and racial discrimination.
