On Saturday, October 11, the Coalition for Spiritual and Public Leadership organized approximately 1,000 people in the Chicago metropolitan area to provide the Eucharist to detainees at the Immigration and Customs Enforcement facility in Broadview, Illinois. The prayerful and peaceful group was denied the opportunity. Though the group was denied entry, participants joined in song, prayer and witness outside the facility.
