Employment Opportunity - Life Enrichment Team Member
Location: St. Rose Convent, La Crosse, WI
Hours: full-time
We are looking for a full-time Life Enrichment Team Member/Activity Aide, 40 hours per week, Monday - Friday with flexible hours, may include some evening hours and weekend hours as needed to meet the needs of the sisters. We welcome you to join our team!
In collaboration with the Life Enrichment Director, other departments and team members you will help plan and provide appropriate activities for sisters residing at St. Rose according to their needs and interests.
Responsibilities for this role include, but are not limited to:
- assisting in planning a monthly activity calendar by collaborating with others and the sisters,
- leading individual and group activities,
- providing assistance and support to sisters as needed during programs,
- offering one-on-one interaction with sisters and
- assisting in scheduling and driving sisters to regular outings.
We are seeking someone with:
- experience and/or associate degree in health service or related field, such as therapeutic recreation, social work, etc.,
- experience interacting with aging adults, especially in skilled care or residential services, is desired,
- a current and valid driver’s license,
- excellent communication and organizational skills,
- basic computer skills,
- a positive outlook, genuine respect for sister dignity and a comfortable demeanor with a wide variety of people and
- strong critical thinking, as well as planning/organizing and problem-solving skills.
