Current opportunity

Finance Assistant, part time (20 hours/week): Responsible for general accounting, receivables/payables, payroll, and general office/clerical duties. Possibility of position becoming full time in a year.

Position requirements:
- Experience working with general accounting, cash receipts, payables; and payroll strongly preferred.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs required.
- Must be able to handle multiple tasks while providing excellent customer service.

Franciscan Spirituality Center

The Franciscan Spirituality Center, La Crosse, Wis., hosts retreats, workshops and spiritual seekers of all faiths. The Center is a ministry of the Franciscan Sisters of Perpetual Adoration.

Current opportunity

Receptionist, part time (25 hours/week): Responsible for greeting guests, providing administrative support and assisting with meeting set-up as needed. Hours are 8 a.m. – 1 p.m. Monday – Friday.

Position requirements:
- Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
- Strong computer skills. Knowledge of Microsoft Office with emphasis on Word and Access; willingness to learn new software programs.
- Ability to work effectively with other team members.
- Knowledge of customer service principles and practices.

Villa St. Joseph

Villa St. Joseph is a skilled-care retirement home owned by the Franciscan Sisters of Perpetual Adoration. The Villa is located on St. Joseph Ridge, 11 miles east of La Crosse, Wis., on Highway 33. the land that surrounds the Villa was initially purchased as a farm to produce food for St. Rose Convent and the then St. Francis Hospital. The present day structure is comprised of three wings and is home to approximately 95 sisters. Currently, there are 135 employees, half of which are nursing staff.
