The year 1998 welcomed the initiation of a Common Venture among four Franciscan congregations: Franciscan Sisters of Perpetual Adoration, La Crosse, Wis.; Sisters of St. Francis of Assisi, Milwaukee, Wis.; Franciscan Sisters of the Eucharist, Meriden, Conn.; and the Tertiary Sisters of St. Francis, Cameroon, West Africa.
The U.S. congregations assist the Tertiary Sisters in becoming African Franciscan women in the 21st century. The partnership has resulted in varied sharing and growth opportunities for all of the congregations.
As we allow the spirit to lead this process, additional networking opportunities continue to emerge.
