Mindful Meditation with Sister Shirley Morrissey
Franciscan Spirituality Center, La Crosse, Wisconsin
Join the group for 20 minutes of silence followed by five minutes of walking meditation and then 20 minutes of sitting. The sessions conclude with a short reading and time for sharing. Sister Shirley is happy to provide an introduction to meditation if it is new to you. Every Tuesday, 5:30-7 p.m. and every Saturday, 8-9:30 a.m.

Lenten Retreat: Loving the Crucified Christ in the Spirit of Francis and Clare
Sunday, 6:30 p.m. – Friday, 10 a.m. (Monday – Thursday, two sessions: 9am and 3pm)
Franciscan Spirituality Center
All are invited to ponder the choice of St. Francis to embrace with is whole being the suffering and love of the Crucified Christ and to imitate St. Clare in the gazing up the “mirror” – the Crucified Christ.

Come support the Franciscan Spirituality Center and local artists while having fun and celebrating beauty and creativity. Art Dash is a first-time event that will bring together local artists and community members/patrons for an evening of socializing, food, cocktails and fine art.
Patron ticket holders will be assigned a number. All numbers will be called at random and the patron with the called number will dash to their choice of art. Each patron ticket holder will go home with a piece of art.

Justice and Peace Stations of the Cross

Meet in front of the St. Rose sign on the corner of Market Street and Franciscan Way.
On this two-mile walk, that recalls the journey of Jesus as he carried his cross to Calvary, we stop to pray and sing at places that represent suffering in our community and world today. All are welcome to experience this special Good Friday Event.

Please join the Franciscan Sisters of Perpetual Adoration “fore” the first ever Par-Tee for a Cause: Chipping away at Homelessness. The evening includes 18-holes of indoor golf themed events—no golf experience necessary—live and silent auctions and a sit-down dinner. As part of the sisters’ mission to provide compassionate presence to anyone experiencing homelessness, the 2017 Par-Tee funds will support La Crosse’s Franciscan Hospitality House and the La Crosse Collaborative to End Homelessness.
