Sister Thea's voice resounds in NCR, America magazine

"Sometimes I feel like a motherless child, a long ways from home," is sounding throughout the country. It was Sister Thea Bowman's song to U.S. Catholic Bishops in her address "Being a Black Catholic" more than 30 years ago. And, as reported in National Catholic Reporter's June 2 article, "Black in America: I am tired," it is our attempt to try "to find a song that will help us perform hope" in the wake of George Floyd's death today.
