This Laudato Si' Week is also be the culmination of the special Laudato Si' Anniversary Year (proposed by Pope Francis from May 2020 to May 2021) and the celebration of the great progress the entire Church has made on its journey towards ecological conversion. Now, we also reflect on what the COVID-19 pandemic has taught us and to prepare for the future with hope.

And, we offer these resources.

Prayer:

Visit the Laudato Si' Week website for prayer and event-planning materials, online retreats and webinars, and information on virtual events happening all over the world.

Share this prayer for the global Laudato Si' Day of Prayer on Sunday, May 23.

Study:

Watch the webinar “Nonviolence is key to a Laudato Si’ future,” organized by the Catholic Nonviolence Initiative.

From the latest issue of NewsNotes, read about the new U.S. climate commitments, international efforts to protect the oceans, and a Vatican gathering on biodiversity.

Action:

Take action: Urge Congress to take action to promote a just recovery from the global pandemic that will put us on track for a more sustainable future.

Sign a petition from the Global Catholic Climate Movement calling on international leaders to take bold action at the upcoming international climate conferences.
