Franciscan Sisters of Perpetual Adoration knows that considering life as a Catholic sister today can be met with lots of questions, both for the woman contemplating vows and for her family. Women have been asking discerning questions of FSPA for 170 years, founded May 28, 1849.

“To kick off our 170th anniversary celebration, we’re introducing Sister Laura Nettles,” explains Sister Amy Taylor, membership director for FSPA. “Sister Laura ministers as a professor at Viterbo University, founded by FSPA. She navigates several roles, including professor, Ph.D. candidate, daughter and Franciscan Sister of Perpetual Adoration. This peek into her life, we hope, helps women discerning religious life better understand religious community life and personal life balance.”
