Busting into spirituality and religious life

“God busts in when God wants to bust in,” says Franciscan Sister of Perpetual Adoration Sarah Hennessey in La Crosse’s “Connecting the Diocese” radio show episode “Good Advice.”

Sisters Meg Earsley and Sarah Hennessey were recently interviewed at St. Rose Convent by Jack Socha, host of La Crosse's Connecting the Diocese radio show.

Sister Sarah Hennessey and Sister Meg Earsley shared a conversation with host Jack Socha about “getting closer to God” as women religious living in community and as individuals seeking spirituality.

“Everyone has had some experience where the Spirit has broken in … prayer, watching a sunset,” says Sister Sarah. “Sometimes God tells us to be a Franciscan Sister when we’re not paying too much attention!” shares Sister Meg.

Both Sister Sarah and Sister Meg offer paths to spirituality via simplicity:

  • Inviting God to be part of your day.
  • Making time for prayer.
  • Getting the Pray as You Go app, a resource for daily prayer, meditation, music, movement and much more.

Listen to “Good Advice” for more of the conversation, and tune into the Connecting the Diocese interview “Declutter Yourself” with Franciscan Sister of Perpetual Adoration Jolynn Brehm!
