Sister Betty Bradley's Story & Gallery

Franciscan Sister of Perpetual Adoration Betty Bradley

Born in 1939 and raised in Spokane, Washington, Franciscan Sister of Perpetual Adoration Betty Bradley's artistic flair blossomed alongside her academic studies. After receiving her bachelor’s degree in home economics from Viterbo College, she pursued further education at Seattle University, where she earned her master’s degree in religious education.

At the age of 51, Sister Betty began her journey into watercolor painting in 1990. Under the guidance of Franciscan Sister of Perpetual Adoration, Margaret Ann Schlosser, Sister Betty learned the delicate art of watercolors.

Despite her late start, Sister Betty’s talent bloomed brightly as she studied watercolor at North Light Art School in Cincinnati, Ohio. Additionally, she was a member of Monarch Arts and held an executive position in the Spokane Watercolor Society from 1999 to 2003.

Over the years, Sister Betty’s paintings have found homes in various public and private collections across the country.
