Prairiewoods Franciscan Spirituality Center marks 20 years

Prairiewoods Franciscan Spirituality Center, located in Hiawatha, Iowa, opened its doors in July of 1996 as an FSPA ministry. The foundational vision for this center, with its 30 acres of prairie and 40 acres of woodlands, is the integration of spirituality and ecology based on the new story of the universe.

Celebrating its 20th anniversary, Prairiewoods staff asked 20 friends how they’ve been transformed through the center. Friends replied: “Transformed by wonder, awe and shared story”; “Transformed by holy ground, great food and the calmness of nature”; and “Transformed by peace and wholeness.”
