Eucharistic prayer partners commissioned, now join sisters in prayer

On April 27 five women were commissioned as eucharistic prayer partners in Mary of the Angels Chapel.

Sonia Brye grew up on St. Joseph Ridge and has worked at the Villa off and on since she was 16. She and her husband Joseph, who have two sons, live in La Crosse and operate a local restaurant. Sonia will pray with us on Tuesdays from 10 to 11 a.m.

Margaret “Peg” Dubois and her husband Kevin, who is also a prayer partner, are members of Cathedral Parish. Following a nursing career and raising three children, Peg became a podiatrist and works at Mayo Clinic Health System-Franciscan Healthcare in Sparta and Tomah. She will be praying with us on Tuesdays from 2 to 3 p.m.

Beverly Miller previously worked as a teacher, principal, social worker and special education coordinator. She currently works in the liturgy office at St. Rose Convent. Bev, an active member of Holy Trinity Parish, will pray with us on Thursdays from noon to 1 p.m.

Shirley Role worked at the technical college in La Crosse for many years. She has traveled throughout the world and frequently visits her two children in the Twin Cities. Shirley will pray with us on Mondays from 10 to 11 am.

Leanne Stokes and her husband John, who is also a prayer partner, have two children. They are members of St. Patrick’s Parish in Onalaska where Leanne helps with CCD. She will be praying with us on Thursday mornings at 8 a.m.
