Reflection 14: gaze, consider, contemplate, imitate ... discern [video]

By Sister Amy Taylor, FSPA on Wednesday, March 4th 2020

"What bold journey am I ready to begin?"

Are you ready to answer the call to this question, Reflection 14 in Show me a sign's Discernment Meditation Series, and boldly step into your future? Will you gaze, consider, contemplate and imitate along the way?

Is it possible that the road ahead might lead to religious life?

While this reflection brings us to the end of the meditation series, it's just the beginning of our discernment exploration with you. We hope that you carry these reflections as you travel to new destinations, talk to new people and consider new questions in your life. Re-watch these videos, and share them with others. Discover new insight and inspiration. Remember St. Clare of Assisi, who offered these words to Agnes of Prague, guiding her through discernment of consecrated life. Gazing, considering, contemplating and imitating brought Agnes closer to Christ.

And stay tuned to Show me a sign as we prepare to release a new video series to celebrate our 2020 jubilarians: Franciscan Sisters of Perpetual Adoration who, for 75, 70, 60 and 50 years, have continued to discern religious life.

Are you searching for more inspiration and guidance in the discernment of religious life? Walking with someone who is? We invite you to share this link, fspa.org/showmeasign, and join the conversation.
