Exhibitions allow visitors to discover an untold story in American history

Women & Spirit logoYou won’t want to miss your chance to see the exhibition that “reveals the mystery behind the group of independent American women who worked through many dramatic moments in U.S. history.” Women & Spirit: Catholic Sisters in America opened Feb. 18 in Dubuque, Iowa, at the National Mississippi River Museum and Aquarium. It runs through May 22, 2011.

La Crosse’s Swarthout Museum to feature Spirited Women of La Crosse

Spirited Women logoIn La Crosse, FSPA has partnered with the La Crosse Historical Society to create a local exhibition to complement Women & Spirit. This local version, Spirited Women of La Crosse, will showcase how FSPA has helped to shape the La Crosse community in the areas of health care, education and fine arts.

Spirited Women of La Crosse opens in the Historical Society’s Swarthout Museum, adjacent to the La Crosse Public Library, on March 5 and runs through May 22, 2011. The museum is open Tuesday through Friday, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday through Sunday, from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Admission is free. La Crosse Historical Society logo
