Grand opening held for Women & Spirit, Catholic Sisters in America
Sister Marlene Weisenbeck stands in front of an FSPA contributed photo that is now part of the Women & Spirit, Catholic Sisters in America exhibit. Women & Spirit opened May 16, 2009, at the Cincinnati Museum Center, Cincinnati, Ohio. Sisters Marlene and Celesta Day attended the opening. In addition to the lively historic exhibit featuring numerous communities and individual sisters, coordinators are developing a series of note cards for retail.
One of the 10-note card packets, left, is slated to include then and now images and will include the image of Sister Marlene and the Cameroonian child.
Sister Marlene also participated at the exhibit opening in Washington, D.C. in January 2010.
FSPA will co-sponsor the Women & Spirit exhibit at the Mississippi River Museum, Dubuque, Iowa, in February 2011.
