Welcome to the expanded web pages of the FSPA Justice, Peace & Integration of Creation Committee (JPICC).

The nature of the FSPA Justice and Peace Office has changed. Our director, Liz Deligio, is offsite, working out of The 8th Day Center for Justice in Chicago. For the past 25 years, The 8th Day Center has been a prophetic voice for nearly 40 religious congregations around the nation. We have enjoyed a relationship with 8th Day since 1998, but we took another step forward in 2005 by becoming sponsoring members with our Justice and Peace director working as part of the 8th Day staff. www.8thdaycenter.org

Our constitution tells us that true to our Franciscan calling, we commit ourselves to building Christ's Kingdom of justice and peace. We continue our efforts to preserve and nurture God's creation, to increase social and global consciousness, to educate ourselves to political awareness, and to encourage action to effect change when necessary. In order to be aware of the social and global needs of society, we collaborate with other religious communities to educate and to take action toward change for a better world for all creation.
