Live-In Orientation
The Affiliate Live-In Orientation for affiliates in process is held in the summer
at St. Rose Convent. The Live-In Orientation is a requirement before an affiliate
celebrates their first covenant. If enough attendees warrant it, the Live-In
Orientation may be held at a location other than St. Rose Convent.
A picnic in a park for area sisters and affiliates is usually scheduled for
the evening meal during one of the days of the Live-In.
Who attends the Live-In Orientation?
Co-ministers extend an invitation to all persons in-process of becoming covenant
affiliates. Prayer affiliates may request to participate in this experience
but that is not an expectation. While not required, the sponsor of the affiliate
is also welcome.
Is the Live-In orientation necessary for covenant affiliation?
The Live-In Orientation is a requirement for covenant affiliation. The lived
spirit and experiential knowledge that are gained during the five days can not
be conveyed through telling a person about it or showing a video. Exceptions
are made only for very serious reasons.
