Process

Getting Acquainted/Inquiry

• An interested individual reviews our information packet and contacts FSPA's affiliation office and is interviewed by an affiliation co-minister or representative.
• The candidate completes and submits an application form to the affiliation office.
• A sponsor (a member of FSPA or an affiliate who is well established in affiliation) is assigned to the candidate and shares orientation materials.

Orientation

• The sponsor and candidate meet monthly. If the candidate wishes to continue in the process after four sessions, he or she completes and returns an autobiographical form.
• The affiliation co-minister interviews the candidate.
• With recommendations by the sponsor and affiliation co-minister, the candidate is put before the FSPA leadership team for final approval.
• FSPA notifies the candidate of the decision. If affirmative, the initial commitment is made for a period of two years and commences with an affiliation ritual.

Ongoing Formation

• The affiliate, with help from his or her FSPA companion sister, completes and submits a mutual discernment form, and the affiliation office considers the renewal request.
• If renewal is granted, a renewal ceremony occurs.
• Affiliate continues to grow through prayer, study, retreat, affiliate weekends, and other community gatherings.
