Donations

We invite you to be a part of the FSPA mission by partnering with us as we reach out with prayer and support.

FSPA offers a Mass for all our benefactors each month. In addition, benefactors are prayed for each hour of the day and night in the Perpetual Adoration Chapel. To request a prayer, click here.

Your gift can be designated to support any of the following:

  • Affiliation, those who choose to share Franciscan values with FSPA;
  • Ministry and education fund;
  • Sisters' retirement fund;
  • St. Rose Convent, FSPA headquarters and assisted living center;
  • Villa St. Joseph, FSPA skilled nursing home;
  • WomanWell, a center for personal growth and development based in St. Paul, Minn.;
  • Spirituality centers, Marywood, Arbor Vitae, Wis.; Prairiewoods, Hiawatha, Iowa; and Franciscan Spirituality Center, La Crosse, Wis.

Gifts to FSPA can take many forms. They are tax deductible to the extent allowed by law. As required by the Internal Revenue Service, the Franciscan Sisters of Perpetual Adoration retain full authority over the assets given to them.

Ways of Giving

The FSPA development office was established in 1987 to seek funding for present and future ministries and to develop relationships with our partners and donors. All funds raised are directed entirely toward FSPA ministries.

Because we are a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) corporation, we gratefully accept gifts in many forms.

Cash

Contributions of cash make a quick and simple gift. Such gifts, regardless of size, are appreciated and help FSPA in fulfilling its mission.

Securities

By contributing long-term, appreciated stock, bonds, or mutual funds, you can realize significant tax benefits, including a charitable deduction and no capital gains tax.

Gift in Kind

Share your enjoyment of a collection or other personal item, which is related to our religious, educational and charitable works. You can receive a charitable deduction based on the full fair market value of your gift.

Memorial/Tribute

A memorial gift in memory of a deceased person or a tribute gift to honor someone on a special occasion is a wonderful way to celebrate the life and friendship of a loved one. Your gift will not only remember the person honored but will carry on the important ministry of the Franciscan Sisters.

Planned Gift

A gift made now but given when a death or some future event occurs creates a lasting testimony and leaves your mark on history. A donor who has indicated she/he has remembered FSPA in her/his will becomes a part of the Perpetual Friends Circle.

Planned gifts may be made in a variety of ways:

  • Gifts through your will or estate plan cost you nothing today but will benefit FSPA's future work. A simple sentence can be added to your plan such as “I bequeath ($____, or ____%, or specific property, or residual) to the Franciscan Sisters of Perpetual Adoration.”
  • Assets can be put into a charitable trust which can have tax benefits for you as donor. Income can either come to you with the principal going to the charity upon your death, or income can go to the charity with the principal distributed to your children or other beneficiary upon your death.
  • Life insurance is a way to make a substantial gift to a charity. FSPA would be the beneficiary on your policy and would receive the proceeds at your death.
  • You may also designate a gift of securities, bonds, IRAs, or mutual funds in your estate plan.

Our legal title is “Franciscan Sisters of Perpetual Adoration, Inc.”
