Five prayer partners commissioned in Mary of the Angels Chapel

Five new prayer partners were commissioned in the 19th commissioning ceremony in Mary of the Angels Chapel on April 22. The Perpetual Adoration Committee invited all 126 prayer partners for the Mass, the brunch following and four mini input sessions in the Franciscan Spirituality Center. Twenty of them attended.

Margaret and Mary Cunningham are sisters. They were employed by the State of Minnesota but returned to La Crosse following their retirement. Mary and Margaret are members of Blessed Sacrament Parish.

Maureen Monk is a member of Mary Mother of the Church. She volunteers in the parish, for Causeway Volunteer Caregivers and spends time with her 90-year-old mother. Maureen and her husband, Fred, enjoy being grandparents.

Kim Williams is an active member of St. Patrick's Parish in Onalaska. She works for La Crosse County 911 dispatch center. She and her husband, John, are parents and grandparents.

Beth Wopat, an FSPA affiliate, is chaplain for the Cancer Center at Franciscan Skemp Healthcare. She is a member of Roncalli Newman Parish.
