Nine new prayer partners commissioned in November

Prayer partners commissioned in November 2013Nine new eucharistic prayer partners were commissioned in Mary of the Angels Chapel on Nov. 3, 2013.

Kevin Dubois is a 30-year army veteran who has recently attended Viterbo University. Kevin and his wife Peg are members of the Cathedral Parish where he is an extraordinary minister of the Eucharist, an altar server, a CCD instructor and a leader of prayer. Kevin will be praying with us on Wednesdays at 6 p.m.

Tami Ebner works in the pastoral care department at Gundersen Health System. She also works with power of attorney for health care document completion for the community. She will be a substitute and have floating hours as her schedule permits.

Annette Friedewald, wife of the late Marv Friedewald, is a part of the Viterbo family. She worked at the La Crosse Health Department for many years and now provides meals with the Coulee Region Retired and Senior Volunteer Program and the Place of Grace. Annette is a member of the St. Patrick Parish in Onalaska and will join us in prayer on Mondays at 8 a.m.

Rosalie Hooper Thomas is a spiritual director and has given retreats at the Franciscan Spirituality Center. She is also a member of the FSPA Homelessness Initiative. Rosalie worships at San Damiano Chapel. She is praying with us at noon on Thursdays.

Shanen Kazynski is a Viterbo alumna and works as an in-home child care provider. She and her husband Joe have three sons. Shanen assists with CCD classes and helps with other projects at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish in Holmen. Shanen will pray with us on Mondays from 7 to 8 p.m.

Luella Krall, a member of St. Patrick’s Parish in Onalaska, has recently moved here from Door County. She and her husband George have six children and 14 grandchildren. Lue has been active with Catholic Mothers organizations in Milwaukee and Door County. She will be praying with us on Mondays from 3 to 4 p.m.

Kristine Lowenstein and her husband Jay have three daughters. Kris is in charge of the social work department at Gundersen Health System. She will be praying with her mother Luella Krall on Mondays from 3 to 4 p.m.

Arlene Schwabenbauer and her husband Joe have four sons and eight grandchildren. Arlene was employed at
St. Francis, now Mayo Clinic Health System–Franciscan Healthcare, in the business office for 25 years. A member of St. James Parish, Arlene makes communion calls to the homebound, serves at funerals, helps with Meals on Wheels and several other charities. She prays with us on Tuesdays from 1 to 2 p.m.

Steven Tichy is retiring in the coming year from an ophthalmology practice in Chicago and returning to La Crosse where he practiced medicine for several years. Along with his wife Barb, he has done mission work in Romania, Honduras and Africa. Steve has been praying with us once a month on Saturday and Sunday from 6 to 7 a.m. when he is in La Crosse and until he can take regularly scheduled adoration hours.
