New prayer partners commissioned; twelve partners recognized for service

prayer partners commissioned April 2009Fourteen participants have recently joined the FSPA ministry of perpetual adoration. Nine were present for the commissioning ceremony on April 26, 2009.

Mary Ann Zadow is a member of Crucifixion Parish in La Crescent. She and her husband Marty have four children and 10 grandchildren. Mary Ann is a sister to Sister Rita Ann Walter.

Kathie Hengel and her father Ed Hengel Sr. are members of Mary Mother of the Church. Kathie works at Franciscan Skemp. They will be taking their adoration hour together.

Ann Harris lives in Stoddard with her husband Rob. She attends Mass at San Damiano where their son Dylan is in the choir. Ann will join us for prayer on Fridays at 8 a.m.

Mona Rybold is Ann’s mother. She, too, will be praying on Friday mornings, 8:00-9:00.

Betty Searle is a member of Mary Mother of the Church. She and her husband Gordon enjoy being grandparents to six grandchildren. Betty will join us for prayer on Thursday mornings, 10:30-11:30.

Mary Louise Thompson is an active member of Roncalli Newman Parish. She also is a volunteer art teacher at Unity House for women. Mary and her family, Franciscans at heart, do conservation work on behalf of birds and animals.

Lori Laxton is from Holmen and works at TLC Center. Lori will be praying with us on Monday evenings at 5:00.

Michael Krueger is a ministry major at Viterbo University, a volunteer at Place of Grace and works in the Food Service Department at St. Rose. Michael will pray with us on Monday from 9 to 10 p.m.

Julie Wagner is a kindergarten teacher at Cathedral School. She is a member of Mary Mother of the Church.

Barb Kruse is a member of Mary Mother of the Church, a volunteer at Place of Grace and is employed at the Franciscan Spirituality Center. She and her husband Joe have four sons.

Antonio Lombardi, originally from Italy, has two adult children. He will pray with us on Monday evenings, 8:00-9:00.

prayer partners celebrating 10 years of adorationSandra Thompson is a member of Mary Mother of the Church. She is a retired nurse and volunteers at Causeway and Gundersen Hospice. Sandra and her husband Jeff are the parents of three adult children. She will pray with us on Thursday mornings from 9:00 to 10:00.

Twelve prayer partners were recognized for their 10 years of eucharistic adoration: Donald and Marilyn Finn, John Hempstead, Carol Meirick, John Mueller, Marilyn Pedretti, Nancy Sieger, Edna Smetana, Cornelia Gastner, Linda Kerrigan, Marge Resler and Edna Spohn. They were given a framed photo of the Adoration Chapel as a symbol of gratitude from the FSPA.
